The entire series of Astronomy Basics is also available as a CD Rom. This CD contains 271 images that illustrate the basic concepts covered in a general astronomy curricullum and are sutable for either projection or viewing on a computer monitor screen. The software allows the user to display the images in each of the nine categories in Power Point format. Also included are the raw TIFF and JPEG files of each image for use by the instructor in other applications.

Teacher’s notes are also provided for each category. The Astronomy Basics CD is a general overview from Planet Earth outward to the universe, presented in a logical manner, giving the student a general understanding of the most basic elements of Astronomy.
